January 13, 2006. I arrived in Jakarta at noon and things went smoothly at the airport. Smooth as in not having to go through the long queue at the immigration counter and not having to wait for a long time for my luggage. The immigration officer noted that I have been to Jakarta quite often and I told her that I'm visiting my Honeybunch. She nodded and smiled and stamped the passport. Diah was still on the way to the airport when I got out. So, I waited for her at the Mc D. It was a really nice feeling, to just sit there, watching people walked by. The nice feeling of not having to rush anywhere and not having any schedule to meet. Just enjoying the sweet moment in time waiting for my Princess to arrive.
We checked in at the hotel and then went off to her office. She unsuccessfully tried to get off from work early and therefore, I had to join her at work. We had a quick, hot nasi padang lunch and then off to work. All I needed was just a PC and an internet connection. I got that and I had no problem waiting for her. Thank God for the internet! A few hundreds clicks here and there, it was already 5:30 pm. Apart from that I got to meet almost all the people that she works with. Now I can put faces to the names.
As usual, there were plans laid out for the night. We were supposed to go and visit Daffy at the hospital and the other one was to hang out with some friends later that night. It rained heavily and plans remained plans. We had dinner at Plaza Semanggi and did some shopping there. After that, we headed home and spent all the time to ourselves.
