May Allah Bless Her Soul

April 1, 2006. Bert and I went down to Muar again to pay a visit to Lollies whose mother passed away on March 28, 2006.

Her house was quite easy to find except for the missing traffic light and the Top Up workshop that was actually Ever Top. Luckily the word "Top" got us on the right track.

We visited her mother's grave and recited the YASIN for her. Lollies appeared calm and pretty much herself that day. However, there was still an obvious hint of sadness in her dad's face, . I remembered he said this while we were getting ready to visit the grave:

"It is not easy when you lose your mrs...".

I know it must have been really hard for him and I was not so sure what to reply except for a few words as an acknowledgement.

I am glad that Lollies and her family have the strength to endure those hard moments and come up reasonably well. I could only wish them all the best for the many more days, weeks and years to come.

On a lighter note, her kids were their usual selves and very much fun to be with. Haziq and Sha were instant and Jack-Jack, as usual, would take his own sweet time to warm up. Haziq was quite disappointed for he thought that Bert and I would spend the night there.

Thank you Lollies and family for the hospitality and letting us to just be there.

Take care and all the best Lollies!
